8 Great Gluten Free Blogs

8-gluten-free-blogs

As much as I’d like to think that my gluten-free blog is all you need if you want to learn about celiac disease and living gluten free (and for those who think that…I love you!), there are many voices out there who do a wonderful job as well. It would serve you well to follow these talented bloggers.

And just to make this perfectly clear, you should follow them IN ADDITION to me, not INSTEAD of me.

Anne approaches her disease with a great sense of humor and writing style. She is (mostly) a vegan and is now experimenting going dairy-free as well. Whether she is sharing her stories, her challenges or her recipes, it’s always an interesting read.

celiac chicksCeliac Chicks
This site is actually just run by one chick now, but nonetheless, Kelly does an amazing job covering all aspects of celiac disease. She started the blog in 2003 (way before gluten hit the mainstream) and has been featured in the New York Times, New York Post and Huffington Post, plus many others.

jules gluten freeJules Gluten Free
Jules is a chef, an author, a teacher (cooking classes) and an advocate for all things gluten free. She even created her own gluten free flour, which took over two years to perfect. She’s been on TV, the radio, online and in print and her blog is full of incredible recipes and wonderful resources.

celiac divaThe Celiac Diva
The Celiac Diva, run by the bubbly Lauren-Lucille V., is an online show dishing all things gluten free. Lauren’s specialty is videos. Whether she is interviewing gluten-free food executives or dishing on the latest recipe, her videos are always informative and entertaining. 35,000 Facebook fans can’t be wrong.

With a background in television news, Amy has a great knack for effectively getting her message across.  The blog is for parents of celiacs as well as adult celiacs and provides information to empower you to fight for your health and maintain the gluten-free lifestyle.

With over 42,000 Facebook fans and 9,000 Twitter followers, Karina is all about providing exceptional gluten free recipes, with the focus on fresh, seasonal ingredients and creativity in the kitchen. You can search her recipes by season, by ingredient or by meal. Try her recipes…you won’t be sorry.

Erin puts the focus on nutrition and exercise for the gluten free. She holds a Master’s degree in Physical Therapy and a Bachelor’s in Health Science, as well as being a celiac, so she certainly knows what she is talking out. She’s all about helping people make positive choices for nutrition and lifestyle.

Erin covers it all in her five year old blog. From restaurant and product reviews, to industry news, to delicious recipes, she has been gluten-free for 30 years (I cannot comprehend this) and her experience shines through.

So there you have it. Eight gluten free bloggers who will do you right. I’m sure there are more out there. As a matter of fact, The Gluten Free Girl is an amazing blogger who has such a way with words, but she is on a bit of a sabbatical right now, which is the only reason I didn’t include her on the list. But you should still check her out.

Happy reading!

  1. Thank you so much for including me in this wonderful group of bloggers, including yourself! Every one of these have made my gluten-free journey easier, more fun and tastier. This totally made my week!!!

  2. I couldn’t agree more and collectively that is a stellar group of knowledge, support and recipes that cannot be found in any one book, physician, dietician or support group out there. I would be absolutely lost without the incredible and selfless gluten free bloggers out there. Love you all and thanks for all you do. For me, personally this list wouldn’t be complete without adding Heidi Kelly/Adventures of a Gluten Free Mom and Shirley @ gfe-Gluten Free Easily too. They both have helped me tremendously as well.

    1. Thanks for reading and thanks for the additional bloggers as well. I’ll be sure to check them out. I’m sure I left some talented people off the list.

If anybody out there has got a gluten free / celiac blog, let me know!

      1. Hi! I don’t have a blog, but a brand new gluten free restaurant I the upper east side that unlike to invite you to. What’s the best way to get in touch with you? Kim … 917-916-3264

      2. Dude, I highly recommend the blog by Elana Amsterdam: ‘Elana’s Pantry’.
I’ve been following her blog for years, and refer to her cookbooks frequently.

  3. I was so happy to come across this list! I am quite health conscious and always looking for new *AND EASY* ways to drop some weight. I would highly recommend the website http://www.ninacucina.com/. I recently purchased her book, Nina Cucina: Your Healthy Gourmet and I have become addicted to gluten free recipes! I have quite a few friends who are gluten intolerant and have heard from a number of them that there are some amazing gluten free recipes out there that are delicious and extremely healthy. I am not a great cook but I found this book (and website) so informative and so easy to follow. For every single recipe the author, Nina Pucillo, gives the nutritional value of each dish and step-by-step instructions on how to prepare the dish. All of the dishes featured in the book are totally gluten-free and Nina has included many recipes that are dairy-free too! Thanks for sharing! I hope my suggestion helps 🙂

  6. Hey GlutenDude,

I would love to make your list!

My name is Brian and I launched https://nogluten.io last year. My mission statement:
“NoGluten.io is a gluten-free blog dedicated to helping those suffering with Celiac Disease, Ulcerative Colitis, and Crohn’s Disease live a happier and healthier life.”

I was diagnosed with Ulcerative Colitis back in 2014, and am now off of all my medication, despite everything doctor’s told me, thanks to a gluten-free lifestyle!
Now I dedicate hundreds of hours to writing about living healthy gluten-free, information about digestive diseases, and tricks when living with Celiac, UC, and Crohn’s.

Who I am. And who I'm not.

Who I am. And who I'm not.

I AM someone who's been gluten-free since 2007 due to a diagnosis of severe celiac disease. I'm someone who can steer you in the right direction when it comes to going gluten-free. And I'm someone who will always give you the naked truth about going gluten free.

I AM NOT someone who embraces this gluten-free craziness. I didn’t find freedom, a better life or any of that other crap when I got diagnosed. With all due respect to Hunter S. Thompson, I found fear and loathing of an unknown world. But if I can share my wisdom, tell my stories and make the transition easier on you, I’ve done my job.
