Ok…I’ve got a new rule that is in effect as of today. The only people who are allowed to write articles about celiac disease are either medical professionals who understand the disease (and believe me, these are few and far between) and those actually […]Read More
This email ripped me apart. If somebody had a severe peanut allergy, you’d understand. If somebody had diabetes, you’d understand. If somebody had cancer, you’d understand. But if you’ve got celiac disease, you’re going to get people who simply do not understand. What is […]Read More
I am doubly blessed when it comes to my work life. Not only do I work for myself, but I also work from home. And because I run an web design company, I rarely have to travel. (It’s ok to hate me for this…I […]Read More
Yeah…that’s right. I went there. The lamest blog post title EVER. And theoretically, I wasn’t “born” gluten-free. I was born with the celiac gene. And I haven’t been gluten-free since birth; only the last five years. So really, the title makes no sense whatsoever. […]Read More
Ha. Ha. Ha. Ha. Ha. Hahahahahahahahahahahahaha! So it seems our friends Dr. Wise and Mr. Jason, the two crooks who sell the above product, didn’t do their research when they first named their product. (Dude note: If you’re new to the blog, please read […]Read More
Life can be rough for us all. There’s no doubt that most of us have our serious ups and downs; emotionally, physically, financially, whatever. We deal with celiac, on top of whatever else life decides to throw at us. But even at our worst […]Read More
I do not wear makeup. Yes, I wear an earring. Yes, I put gel in my hair. Yes, I’ve had my brows waxed a few times (and based on my experience, my mind cannot even process how anybody would ever get a bikini wax!!) […]Read More
One of my lovely Dudettes has been promising for some time to go gluten-free for a week to show her support. A lovely gesture indeed and to be honest, it was one I was hoping for. If nothing else, it’s a good discipline test. […]Read More
After way too many stories of celebrities embracing gluten-free as the end-all, be-all healthy diet, we finally have a public figure stepping up for celiac awareness. I think I speak for many of us when I say…IT’S ABOUT TIME! Let’s have a big, warm, […]Read More

Who I am. And who I'm not.
I AM someone who's been gluten-free since 2007 due to a diagnosis of severe celiac disease. I'm someone who can steer you in the right direction when it comes to going gluten-free. And I'm someone who will always give you the naked truth about going gluten free.
I AM NOT someone who embraces this gluten-free craziness. I didn’t find freedom, a better life or any of that other crap when I got diagnosed. With all due respect to Hunter S. Thompson, I found fear and loathing of an unknown world. But if I can share my wisdom, tell my stories and make the transition easier on you, I’ve done my job.
