I do my best to not make this blog about me. It’s about us. Our community.
And today’s post is no different.
Yes…I have survived two years of blogging about all things celiac and gluten-free. I’m quite proud of that.
But I didn’t make it this far because of me. I did so because of YOU.
Your passion. Your humor. Your knowledge.
Without you, Gluten Dude does not exist.
And for that, I give you the biggest virtual hug in the world. (Did you feel it?)
Here are some quick stats as we take our journey into it’s third year:
- Pages Viewed: 1,171,612
- Comments Left: 14,031 (thank you!!!)
- Countries Reached: 205 (hello to my one fan in Guadeloupe)
- Most Visited Blog Post: Celiac Disease Symptoms Infographic
- Most Commented On Blog Post: Stop Eating Gluten-Free Foods
- Blog Post That Cost Me the Most Facebook Followers: Is Semen Gluten Free?
- Number of Biblical Passages Emailed to Me After the Above Post: 7
- Most Unusual Search Terms People Used in Google to Find Me: celiac disease is bullsh*t, gluten free sex, I hate gluten free people
- Number of Springsteen References: Not nearly enough (which will change with my “Mega-Mailbag, Springsteen-Style” coming in a few days. Don’t ask.)
So what’s next? Good question. I suppose if it ain’t broke, I shouldn’t fix it. But I am always open for ideas if you have any.
Will I run out of things to say? Probably not. There’s always something to talk about in this crazy gluten-free world we live in.
And I believe we are making a difference. Heck…when you can get Disney to completely edit a show, that’s pretty cool.
As long as that continues to be the case, I’m not going anywhere.
I hope you tag along with me.
Happy birthday! Be careful, though; birthday candles often contain gluten. (Just kidding.)
Good one Molly 😉
Two years!! Right on, GD. I love stopping by for a daily visit. There’s usually something thought provoking, laugh inducing and “oh-no-he-didn’t”.
Keep up the good work!
Thanks Sue 🙂
Congratulations Gluten Dude! I’d be lost without you!

Tunnel of Love…awesome JG. Thank you!
Just a thought about taking risks and writing a blog:

It takes a leap of faith you gotta show some guts
It takes a leap of faith to get things going
In your heart you must trust’

Happy Birthday and Cheers! 😉
It’s 86 down here and I am going to the beach.

InspiredRD did a blog post some time back about a “Leap of Faith”. Love that term.
Glad the move south has treated you well. You deserve it.

Congrats, Dude. Happy birthday, and thanks for being here!
Happy Blogging birthday. I love reading your posts and stories. It’s great having someone who advocates and researches and inspires the rest of us to stand up and speak our mind on living gluten free.
I would be very amused to see those emails.
I can pretty much always count on you for giving me something to laugh about at least once a week. Today, it was the stats above. The first few stats – amazing! The last few – hilarious!

Happy Anniversary Dude! Although you weren’t blogging back when I was diagnosed in 2010, I discovered your blog at the perfect time last fall when I was in a big celiac disease “slump.”

Happy Birthday GD!! I love this site and it’s my favorite place to go on the internet these days. I love seeing a new post. One of the highlights to my day. 🙂
Congratulations GD!! Thanks for all the amazing work :).
Your blogs are always interesting to read. They have helped me a lot after my diagnosis and I truly appreciate all the effort you put into creating awareness about celiac disease.
THANK YOU!! 😀
Thank you for providing a place where rants and honest ( sometimes crude) questions about life with gluten intolerance are accepted:)
Happy belated blog birthday, GD! Thank you for having such a refreshing view of Celiac Disease and NCGI.
Love the blog, love the comments, hate, hate, hate the disease.
