I'm Mad as Hell!! What Can We Do to Change Things?

May 7, 2013 | 81 Comments

May 6, 2013 | 32 Comments

I am not a perfect parent…by far. My parents weren’t perfect parents. And I’m sure your parents aren’t perfect either. But you don’t need to be a perfect parent in order to be a good parent. And even if you are not capable of […]

Hello Gluten Free Labels. Goodbye Tape & Sharpies.

May 1, 2013 | 12 Comments

This is one of those ideas that seems so obvious, I’m kicking myself for not coming up with it first. As we’ve discussed many times in the past, it’s not just accidentally eating gluten that can make us sick. The cross-contamination risk poses just […]

Who I am. And who I'm not.

Who I am. And who I'm not.

I AM someone who's been gluten-free since 2007 due to a diagnosis of severe celiac disease. I'm someone who can steer you in the right direction when it comes to going gluten-free. And I'm someone who will always give you the naked truth about going gluten free.

I AM NOT someone who embraces this gluten-free craziness. I didn’t find freedom, a better life or any of that other crap when I got diagnosed. With all due respect to Hunter S. Thompson, I found fear and loathing of an unknown world. But if I can share my wisdom, tell my stories and make the transition easier on you, I’ve done my job.
