Celebrities
Celebrities, celiac disease and eating gluten-free? It’s complicated. Sometimes frustratingly so. But there are a few shining lights.
So as we all know by now, fellow celiac Jennifer Esposito is getting the shaft from CBS. CBS is telling one side of the story, but reality tells a far different story. But there is a whole other side to this insidious episode: the […]
Read MoreIt must be nice to be CBS. You’ve got billions of dollars in your piggy bank. You’ve got the highest of high-powered lawyers. You’ve got millions of faithful viewers. Yet all that money and power and you still act like a common thug without […]
Read MoreThis is utter bullshit. Once again, money and power rule over common sense, common courtesy and common decency. And this time…it’s personal. Jennifer Esposito has celiac disease. To say she “has” celiac disease is an understatement. Due to years of crappy doctors and misdiagnoses, […]
Read MoreOn TV, Jennifer Esposito has acted in popular TV shows such as Spin City, Law and Order, Rescue Me, Samantha Who and Blue Bloods. On film, she has worked on great films such as Summer of Sam, Crash and Wes Craven’s Dracula:2000. But in real […]
Read MoreThe title of this post is “Finally…A Celebrity Gets Celiac Disease”. But let me write it a bit more phonetically. “Finally…A Celebrity GETS Celiac Disease.” As in understands; takes it seriously; advocates. If you’ve followed this blog for some time (I love you!), you […]
Read MoreMy Dearest Celebrities, I know this may not be easy to accept. I know you surround yourselves all day with yes-people. I know if you told your posse that dinosaurs never existed and the earth was flat, they’d all just nod their head in […]
Read MoreYeah…that’s right. I went there. The lamest blog post title EVER. And theoretically, I wasn’t “born” gluten-free. I was born with the celiac gene. And I haven’t been gluten-free since birth; only the last five years. So really, the title makes no sense whatsoever. […]

Who I am. And who I'm not.
I AM someone who's been gluten-free since 2007 due to a diagnosis of severe celiac disease. I'm someone who can steer you in the right direction when it comes to going gluten-free. And I'm someone who will always give you the naked truth about going gluten free.
I AM NOT someone who embraces this gluten-free craziness. I didn’t find freedom, a better life or any of that other crap when I got diagnosed. With all due respect to Hunter S. Thompson, I found fear and loathing of an unknown world. But if I can share my wisdom, tell my stories and make the transition easier on you, I’ve done my job.
Send me a message
I'm all ears
