As Bruce (Springsteen) would say: “Is there anybody alive out there??” Yes…it’s 4:57 in the morning. Yes…I’ve been up since 2. Yes…I’ve been working since 3:30. Yes…I’m on my second cup of coffee. Today’s post is for those who are struggling to maintain the […]
Read MoreWhen I was kid, oh how I hated September. It meant my summer at Long Beach Island was coming to a close. It meant shorter days. It meant cooler nights. And it meant…EGADS…back to school!! I wish I could say I had pleasant memories […]
Read MoreOnce or twice a year, I write a blog post that has nothing to do with celiac or gluten. It happens when I want to call out something, or in this case someone, special. Today is a double anniversary. First, it is Mrs. Dude […]
Read MoreI think most of us have seen, or at least heard of, signs like the two above. They seem to be all the rage these days. “Gluten-free haircuts.” “Gluten-free oil change.” “The Ford Fiesta: 45mpg and Gluten-Free.” The celiac community seems to fall into […]

Read MoreWho I am. And who I'm not.
I AM someone who's been gluten-free since 2007 due to a diagnosis of severe celiac disease. I'm someone who can steer you in the right direction when it comes to going gluten-free. And I'm someone who will always give you the naked truth about going gluten free.
I AM NOT someone who embraces this gluten-free craziness. I didn’t find freedom, a better life or any of that other crap when I got diagnosed. With all due respect to Hunter S. Thompson, I found fear and loathing of an unknown world. But if I can share my wisdom, tell my stories and make the transition easier on you, I’ve done my job.

I'm all ears
