Celiac can affect you in so many different ways. It messes with your health. It messes with your freedom. It messes with your mind. But I never considered it messing with your career. Unless of course your goal is to become a chef. That […]
Read MoreI read the books on staying healthy. I subscribe to Men’s Health. I follow the “healthy living” blogs. And they all say the same thing: Do not let yourself get too hungry. This is when eating mistakes happen (i.e. overeating, eating crap, etc.) For […]
Read MoreFriends can come and go and this blog has covered many unfortunate stories of friends bailing when you have to go gluten free. Co-workers? They’re too busy trying to climb the corporate ladder to worry about the nuances of celiac disease. But family? Man…they […]
Read MoreI miss pizza. I really miss pizza. But there are some things about the pizza I used to have pre-celiac days that I don’t miss. The grease. The calories. The feeling like crap afterwards. Well…we are entering what I hope is a new dawn […]
Read MoreWhen it comes to celiac, I can only think of one thing worse than having the disease itself. It’s being a kid and having the disease. One of the benefits of being young is supposed to be having a care-free lifestyle before you reach […]

Read MoreWho I am. And who I'm not.
I AM someone who's been gluten-free since 2007 due to a diagnosis of severe celiac disease. I'm someone who can steer you in the right direction when it comes to going gluten-free. And I'm someone who will always give you the naked truth about going gluten free.
I AM NOT someone who embraces this gluten-free craziness. I didn’t find freedom, a better life or any of that other crap when I got diagnosed. With all due respect to Hunter S. Thompson, I found fear and loathing of an unknown world. But if I can share my wisdom, tell my stories and make the transition easier on you, I’ve done my job.

I'm all ears
