Eat Like Crap. Feel Like Crap.

July 17, 2013 | 49 Comments

Life is supposed to be all about balance. Work hard but play hard too. Spend time with your family but make sure you get some “you” time. Save money but enjoy the fruits of your labor. Eat healthy but treat yourself once in awhile. […]

Hi folks. I am back from my blogging sabbatical! I’d like to say that I’m feeling reborn and revitalized. The truth is I’m still feeling tired and a bit detached. But I’ll power through it and come out on the other side just fine. […]

A Fellow Celiac Reminds Me Why I Blog

July 9, 2013 | 41 Comments

I’m in my first blogging rut in the 20 months since I’ve started this blog. I haven’t written a post in 7 days. I’ve dropped off the social media radar a bit. I’m not responding to my emails like I used to. I’ll admit […]

July 2, 2013 | 192 Comments

Last Wednesday, Mrs. Dude walked into my home office, took one look at me and said “You’re struggling, aren’t you?” And so began the latest episode of “Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Gluten Douche”. The day before, I had just written a glowing post about […]

Who I am. And who I'm not.

Who I am. And who I'm not.

I AM someone who's been gluten-free since 2007 due to a diagnosis of severe celiac disease. I'm someone who can steer you in the right direction when it comes to going gluten-free. And I'm someone who will always give you the naked truth about going gluten free.

I AM NOT someone who embraces this gluten-free craziness. I didn’t find freedom, a better life or any of that other crap when I got diagnosed. With all due respect to Hunter S. Thompson, I found fear and loathing of an unknown world. But if I can share my wisdom, tell my stories and make the transition easier on you, I’ve done my job.
