It's Mailbag Time…Springsteen-Style

October 2, 2013 | 25 Comments

If you’ve been following my blog, you know I’m a big Bruce fan. Grew up in the same town, followed him since I was in diapers (age 10…don’t tell anyone). The man’s music just speaks to me. And if you’ve been following my blog, […]

I do my best to not make this blog about me. It’s about us. Our community. And today’s post is no different. Yes…I have survived two years of blogging about all things celiac and gluten-free. I’m quite proud of that. But I didn’t make […]

Remind Me Why I Blog Again?!?!

September 26, 2013 | 62 Comments

So much anger in the world. Much of it justified. Let’s face it…the world is a mess out there. But sometimes…well, the anger is just misguided and misdirected. I blog so I am fair game for push back. You don’t like my Twinkies post […]

Today’s post is all about throwing our support behind Casey. She did not ask me to do this, but when I read her blog post yesterday (and please read it if you have a minute), I wanted to make sure she knew that there […]

Who I am. And who I'm not.

Who I am. And who I'm not.

I AM someone who's been gluten-free since 2007 due to a diagnosis of severe celiac disease. I'm someone who can steer you in the right direction when it comes to going gluten-free. And I'm someone who will always give you the naked truth about going gluten free.

I AM NOT someone who embraces this gluten-free craziness. I didn’t find freedom, a better life or any of that other crap when I got diagnosed. With all due respect to Hunter S. Thompson, I found fear and loathing of an unknown world. But if I can share my wisdom, tell my stories and make the transition easier on you, I’ve done my job.
