I love this. I really, really love this. It’s a celiac rant with a positive spin. Because our disease is connected to food, it’s the food that tends to get all of the focus. Food is sexy I guess; disease…not so much. But the […]
Read MoreJust when I think this crappy disease can’t get any crappier…I get an email like the one below. This mom reached out to me because her soon to be 14-year-old son is depressed. You see…he has celiac disease and whenever he gets glutened, he […]
Read MoreHere’s a question for you: How much responsibility does the media bear in promoting celiac awareness? Maybe “promoting celiac awareness” is the wrong terminology. Maybe it should be “how much responsibility does the media bear in connecting gluten-free to a serious health issue?” Gluten-free […]
Read MoreThe below comment was left on my blog post about children with chronic health issues a few weeks ago. I was stunned and I reached out directly to the woman who wrote the comment. I told her how sorry I was and asked if […]
Read MoreHoly crap am I behind on emails. I’ve got emails from my fellow celiacs sitting in my inbox dating back to October. Yes…October of 2013 wise-ass. Between work, the blog, life, holidays, etc., I’m not always finding the time to keep up with my […]

Read MoreWho I am. And who I'm not.
I AM someone who's been gluten-free since 2007 due to a diagnosis of severe celiac disease. I'm someone who can steer you in the right direction when it comes to going gluten-free. And I'm someone who will always give you the naked truth about going gluten free.
I AM NOT someone who embraces this gluten-free craziness. I didn’t find freedom, a better life or any of that other crap when I got diagnosed. With all due respect to Hunter S. Thompson, I found fear and loathing of an unknown world. But if I can share my wisdom, tell my stories and make the transition easier on you, I’ve done my job.

I'm all ears
