I’m all for alternative medicine. Heck…when I was younger, I dealt with random warts popping up on my knees, my hands, etc. Ahhh…the memories. Good times indeed. Anyway, after going to numerous doctors and trying every potion under the sun with no results, you […]
They say that common etiquette means not talking about sex, religion or politics. Hmmm…I’ve already talked about sex drive, if sperm is gluten free, and gluten-free sex for only $27. I’ve also discussed if you can pray your celiac away and if a church […]
Sometimes a celiac rant needs no introduction… Hello everyone, I live in Turkey and been diagnosed as a celiac 8 months ago. The thing is, every time I feel as if I’m doing real good, something goes real bad and I get glutened. And […]
So celiac kicked my ass last week (hence the unusual delay between blog posts). It’s the hardest I’ve been hit in some time. Crazy exhaustion, a few nights of insomnia, in a mental haze (not to be confused with a purple haze), and of […]
Here’s the latest news. This article is about booze. If it’s not what you choose, for you this may be a snooze. But if you like your brews during the holiday woo-hoos, you may be confused as to what booze you can infuse and […]
Tom Gumpel is the head baker for Panera Bread. Panera Bread has decided to jump into the gluten-free TREND. Tom Gumpel is not happy about this. This does not bode well for the celiac community. Arrogance and ignorance are not our friend (are they […]

I was diagnosed with celiac disease 8 years ago this week. Happy Celianniversary to me. Happy Gluten Freenaversary to me. Happy 8 Years Later and I Still Hate Itaversary to me. Thanks. Do you know one of the main reasons I started this blog […]
Between Cheerios, the media, Udi’s, and some ridiculous infighting within the celiac community, there has been an aura of negativity surrounding my advocacy lately. I’m not a negative guy. I just can’t stand BS and I can’t stand injustice. So if I see it, […]
I love your emails. I love them so much that I will never delete them without answering every one of them. Then life happens and all of the sudden I’ve got gobs of emails to go through. And like anything else that over-accumulates, the […]
Who I am. And who I'm not.
I AM someone who's been gluten-free since 2007 due to a diagnosis of severe celiac disease. I'm someone who can steer you in the right direction when it comes to going gluten-free. And I'm someone who will always give you the naked truth about going gluten free.
I AM NOT someone who embraces this gluten-free craziness. I didn’t find freedom, a better life or any of that other crap when I got diagnosed. With all due respect to Hunter S. Thompson, I found fear and loathing of an unknown world. But if I can share my wisdom, tell my stories and make the transition easier on you, I’ve done my job.
Send me a message
I'm all ears
