Being a celiac means considering things that others don’t have to. It doesn’t mean living in fear, but it certainly means living in a state of heightened awareness. Take this fellow celiac’s dilemma: Hey Gluten Dude, I have to admit this isn’t how I […]
Read MoreAbout 20 years ago, when I was living in New York City as a struggling (doesn’t even begin to describe it) artist, I ate a chicken salad sandwich at a nearby diner. Tasted…ok. About 5 hours later, it hit me. Boy…did it hit me. […]
Read More“We’re in the middle of a slow, simmering epidemic.” – Dr. John Garber, Massachusetts General Hospital, speaking about celiac disease. Quite the interesting article about celiac disease on CNN.com today. And no…it’s not fake news! It’s a pretty long article so I’m not going […]
Read MoreIt’s six in the morning and I’ve been up for 4 hours already. Yeah…sleep has not been my friend lately. Before I go grab my 13th cup of coffee, let’s do a quick mailbag. Hey Dude! (You ROCK!!) I am your redheaded Celiac sister […]

Read MoreWho I am. And who I'm not.
I AM someone who's been gluten-free since 2007 due to a diagnosis of severe celiac disease. I'm someone who can steer you in the right direction when it comes to going gluten-free. And I'm someone who will always give you the naked truth about going gluten free.
I AM NOT someone who embraces this gluten-free craziness. I didn’t find freedom, a better life or any of that other crap when I got diagnosed. With all due respect to Hunter S. Thompson, I found fear and loathing of an unknown world. But if I can share my wisdom, tell my stories and make the transition easier on you, I’ve done my job.
Send me a message
I'm all ears
