Not Gluten Free
Today we’re talking oats. First read THIS LINK that the Gluten-Free Watchdog posted and then come on back. Ok…welcome back. God bless the Gluten-Free Watchdog. There are so few celiacs out there who are truly looking out for the community’s health, it’s so refreshing […]Read More
Tom Gumpel is the head baker for Panera Bread. Panera Bread has decided to jump into the gluten-free TREND. Tom Gumpel is not happy about this. This does not bode well for the celiac community. Arrogance and ignorance are not our friend (are they […]Read More
Dude Note: If you are new to the whole gluten-free Cheerios debacle, click here and here for a quick refresher course. So…Nature’s Path was at the Gluten-Free Expo in NJ this past weekend. (Yes…this is relevant.) It was discovered they were handing out samples […]Read More
I’m in a pretty pissy mood this morning. Not only do I have the celiac cranks (fighting thru exhaustion and feeling “off”), but it was just announced that many probiotics that say “gluten-free” on the label actually…aren’t. Very nice. And just in time for […]Read More
Dear Bart, Hi Bart. It’s me…Gluten Dude. I hope you had a nice weekend. In case you forgot who I am, allow me to refresh your memory. On August 12, 2013, I wrote a blog post about how I didn’t think you were careful […]Read More

Who I am. And who I'm not.
I AM someone who's been gluten-free since 2007 due to a diagnosis of severe celiac disease. I'm someone who can steer you in the right direction when it comes to going gluten-free. And I'm someone who will always give you the naked truth about going gluten free.
I AM NOT someone who embraces this gluten-free craziness. I didn’t find freedom, a better life or any of that other crap when I got diagnosed. With all due respect to Hunter S. Thompson, I found fear and loathing of an unknown world. But if I can share my wisdom, tell my stories and make the transition easier on you, I’ve done my job.
