Dear Gluten Dude
I get emails. Lots and lots of emails. People looking for answers. People sharing their stories. People asking if I’m single. Just kidding about that last one. I do my best to reply to every email and I post ones that may ring a chord with the community.
Dude note: The holidays are all about giving. So I thought I’d take the 14 days after Thanksgiving and answer 14 emails I’ve received from my fellow celiacs asking for guidance. And I’d like this to be a communal effort. My advice, shocking as […]Read More
Traveling for the holidays can sometimes be a drag. Crowded roads. Crowded airports. Crowded house. No…not that Crowded House. Traveling for the holidays with celiac? Perhaps a total drag…and then some. But it doesn’t have to be. I received the following email recently and […]Read More
I love your emails. I love them so much that I will never delete them without answering every one of them. Then life happens and all of the sudden I’ve got gobs of emails to go through. And like anything else that over-accumulates, the […]Read More

Traveling as a celiac can be stressful. Especially when going to a big city like New York when you are not familiar with it. So many choices to eat, but are they really safe? And if they’re safe, are they any good?? I got […]Read More
Who I am. And who I'm not.
I AM someone who's been gluten-free since 2007 due to a diagnosis of severe celiac disease. I'm someone who can steer you in the right direction when it comes to going gluten-free. And I'm someone who will always give you the naked truth about going gluten free.
I AM NOT someone who embraces this gluten-free craziness. I didn’t find freedom, a better life or any of that other crap when I got diagnosed. With all due respect to Hunter S. Thompson, I found fear and loathing of an unknown world. But if I can share my wisdom, tell my stories and make the transition easier on you, I’ve done my job.
