Dude, you really think no one reads your blog from start to finish? Cause that’s exactly what I did 2,5 years ago when I was diagnosed. Oh, and, I’ve read every post since.

You’re too kind, but 650 articles is tough to get thru. I’d even get sick of me.

Got it on Amazon for Kindle GDude.
Scanned it all – Very informative.
Will 5star review on Amazon this weekend!
    “The Way We Were”
    Mem’ries, …
    Misty water-colored memories
    Of the way we were…
Can it be that it was all so simple then?
Or has time re-written every line?
If we had the chance to do it all again
Tell me, would we? Could we?
Mem’ries, may be beautiful and yet
    What’s too painful to remember
    We simply choose to forget
    So it’s the laughter
    We will remember
    Whenever we remember…
    The way we were…
    The way we were…

Couldn’t help but sing that … thanks for the memory …

      of rainy afternoons
      swingy Harlem tunes
      motor trips and burning lips
and burning toast and prunes …
      OK … I will stop there :)

Just purchased your book and so looking forward to reading it. I’m sure I did something incorrectly but i didn’t see a link to download and it isn’t in my iBooks folder. So sorry to bother you, can you help me?

I’m so happy that you’ve written this book and that it will soon be available in paperback. I’m going to give it to my fiancé. (He doesn’t do e-books.) We’re getting married in three months, and he has been so very supportive. He takes this seriously and looks out for me. He’s the first person in my life to actually care to learn.

I just ordered the book and can not wait to read it!! I just had the worst experience….with uber eats. I ordered off a menu on their site from a place that had “gluten free options” …when the food got here…..I dug in like no tomorrow. Within moments…my stomach began rumbling. I KNEW RIGHT AWAY WHAT HAD HAPPENED. I call the place and they confirmed the items were not gluten free and they said “so sorry”…. when I said I had celiac…they literally chuckled on the other end of the phone. I was mortified. Not them or uber agreed to do a thing but give my money back, which they should. I immediately began googling this topic and found your book first thing as I am an amazon customer. I hope I find some comic relief to this disease as I will be sick now for days and no one seems to understand or care about that at all. The website immediately removed the gluten free pasta option but still has their minestrone soup as gluten free but it contains pasta and they chuckled at me again at the comment. I have NEVER posted or complained about anything, just not me….I just need to find comedy in this now versus the anger I feel which is not healthy I know. Can’t wait to get the book in a couple days.

So sorry you got hit. I honestly wish we had some legal recourse here. But no…instead they chuckle at our autoimmune disease. Hopefully, my book will hit home, help you and yeah…give you some much needed laughs as well.

Just ordered this book for boyfriend. We have been dating a year and through my encouragement has made some improvement to his diet but he is still cheating. Hopeful your book will help change his mind set. I love him and would like him to be around and healthy for many years. Thanks.

I would buy your book if it wasn’t going to cost me over NZ$50 including shipping to get to NZ. Is there any other way to buy a paperback copy?

Sorry…it’s only on Amazon. Ping me via my website and I’ll send you a PDF. On me.

I bought your book (self-gift) for Christmas. I really enjoyed your sense of humor, wisdom, and valuable information. I wish this book existed 15 years ago. I highly recommend this book to everyone! I would like to arm-twist my mother, and other family members to read it. Several years ago I started bringing my own food to family functions (with much scorn from my overly-no-empathy-cross-contaminating-well-meaning-uneducated-family). It is an excellent book for those of us with celiac–and our bone-head family members who poison us with gluten. Your book said things that were brutal and truthful to those who poison us with gluten. In my family eating is a culture and a human bonding moment. Along with living in Utah and suffering the “Mormon-culture” if you don’t fit into the “cookie cutter” then treated as an outcast. I really appreciated your perspective and your unapologetic approach to dealing with others who would (repeatedly) poison you. I think you are the first person to address the social aspect. For years eating with my extended family made me deathly-ill. They would lie about food being free of gluten. I strongly suggest this book to everyone–especially family who demand you fit into their “cookie-cutter” expectations when it comes to food. I appreciated the narrative about dealing with gluten and the social aspect. I’ve actually limited and removed my interactions with people who minimize celiac and then demand I eat their food which is contaminated. I agree with eliminating people from our lives who don’t offer empathy and kindness towards our celiac.

    Great book!

I have been a diagnosed celiac for 30 years. I almost died before being diagnosed. I just signed up for your mobile app coming this month, I am also ordering a paper copy of your book. I am looking forward to reading it. When I was diagnosed there were no foods in stores for celiacs. That has come a long way. I haven’t seen or read your blog until today. I feel sure I will enjoy it. Thank you writing it and helping others.
