Friends and Family of Celiacs

    • PinkFortitude

This is my first Thanksgiving being GF (and vegan and other weird food issues). Both sides of the family are celebrating at my parent’s retirement home – they are having one of those group dinners for the residents. I am making my own Thanksgiving dinner – stuffing, gravy, cranberry sauce, and apple pie, packing it in a lunch box, and taking it along. When everyone sits down at the table to eat and the food is served, I’m going to pull out my lunchbox and enjoy my own safe dinner. I’ve pre-warned the family (they are cool) and I don’t care about stares or judgement from anyone else.

How does everyone else handle big holiday dinners like this?

      Hugs, Holly
