Anything Goes

I’ve been gluten free, diagnosed celiac for about 4 years. Eating strictly gluten free and careful to not be glutened. I am also lactose intolerant but tend to be able to tolerate a small amount of dairy regularly with no side effects. HOWEVER. The last few months I have been experiencing extreme exhaustion. Tired almost all the time. I get a normal amount of sleep (7-9 hours) and still wake up as though I haven’t slept at all. I am tired all day long! It is starting to get very old. Any thoughts on if this is celiac related? I wonder if I could be eating gluten unknowingly somewhere, but I am always very careful to ensure all foods consumed are gf so I’m just really not sure what it could be. Does anyone else experience this?

Yes, very much so. I wake up and spend most of the day lying back in my chair exhausted. Granted I am just a newbie diagnosed Aug 18’. So since I haven’t been off gluten very long it is possible I’d imagine, perhaps cross-contamination of some kind? I have also read here that having Celiac in general, that you will simply have periods of fatigue no matter what. Sorry if I couldn’t help further.

OOPs, I forgot to add that they most always bounced back!
        Hang in there Ellie, prayers.
