New site. Better design. More content. Same attitude.

new-gluten-dude-site

Yep…it’s still me…Gluten Dude. After living with my old site for 15 months, it was time for an upgrade. Kinda like going from regular to premium.

So what’s new you say?

Well…my snarky blog and your amazing commentary will still be the meat of the site. I will continue to talk about all things gluten and will try to raise celiac awareness to the next level. I’ll continue to call out the media when deserved and will keep my gluten BS monitor on high alert at all times.

There are a few additional features that I am hopeful you can get involved in.

The main one is the new Gluten-Free Kitchens section. The kitchen is by far the most dangerous room in the house and it’s the one where most celiacs get contaminated. My hope is to get as many photos from you of YOUR gluten-free kitchens, along with whatever steps you take to keep as safe as humanly possible in what is usually a crumb factory, so we can help as many of our celiac-in-need as possible. So send in your kitchen photos and I’ll be sure to add them to the site.

I have also opened The Gluten Dude Store. Not only that, but I am keeping it open 24 hours. Yes…all 24 hours in a day. I need volunteers to work the night shift. Ok…I’m being totally sarcastic, but I am offering some cool stuff so be sure to check it out. I’ll be adding more products as time goes on. If there is something special you’d like me to add, by all means, let me know.

We’ve got a new FAQ section set up, ably assisted by our own Irish Heart, where we will try to answer as many of your gluten-related questions as possible.

We’ve got a section focusing on doctor horror stories and we’d like you to share yours. The more stories we can gather in one place, the more awareness we can create.

And there are a few more trinkets here and there. Click around, explore and enjoy. I’ve still got a few kinks to work out so bear with me while I iron out some wrinkles over the next few days.

Many thanks for your continued support and contributions and for making this the most kick-ass gluten-free community in the world.

With much gratitude,

Gluten Dude

  3. You, my gluten free warrior, are not “snarky” – at least according to my definition.

You are honest – big difference!

I don’t have a favorite spot yet. Love the kitchen, the FAQ (and the Irish touch), subtracting the math…just the over all look is nice. And, the mobile version is sweeeeet!

    Bravo!!

Who I am. And who I'm not.

Who I am. And who I'm not.

I AM someone who's been gluten-free since 2007 due to a diagnosis of severe celiac disease. I'm someone who can steer you in the right direction when it comes to going gluten-free. And I'm someone who will always give you the naked truth about going gluten free.

I AM NOT someone who embraces this gluten-free craziness. I didn’t find freedom, a better life or any of that other crap when I got diagnosed. With all due respect to Hunter S. Thompson, I found fear and loathing of an unknown world. But if I can share my wisdom, tell my stories and make the transition easier on you, I’ve done my job.
