Wow…check out the following email I received yesterday. It is honest, sad and scary all wrapped into one. It is from a long-time restaurant server who spent years not taking celiac disease seriously for her customers. She is now being tested for celiac disease. […]

Celiac Rant: The Medical Community Has Abandoned Me

December 3, 2012 | 47 Comments

When I was diagnosed five years ago with celiac disease, my doctor nailed it right away. I didn’t really think twice about it at the time. He’s a doctor. I was a sick patient. He did his job. But since I’ve started this blog, […]

A Celiac Gives Thanks

November 21, 2012 | 56 Comments

Sometimes it’s hard for a celiac to feel thankful. I get emails…every day…from fellow celiacs who I know aren’t feeling very thankful. They’re angry. They’re resentful. They just want their life back the way it was. I get it. I’ve been there. We’ve all […]

Gluten Dude: The mobile app that puts your safety first!

All the tools you need for a simpler gluten-free journey, brought to you by a passionate celiac disease advocate who understands the challenges you face.

Who I am. And who I'm not.

Who I am. And who I'm not.

I AM someone who's been gluten-free since 2007 due to a diagnosis of severe celiac disease. I'm someone who can steer you in the right direction when it comes to going gluten-free. And I'm someone who will always give you the naked truth about going gluten free.

I AM NOT someone who embraces this gluten-free craziness. I didn’t find freedom, a better life or any of that other crap when I got diagnosed. With all due respect to Hunter S. Thompson, I found fear and loathing of an unknown world. But if I can share my wisdom, tell my stories and make the transition easier on you, I’ve done my job.
